Livingston County singer songwriter, recording artist Bob Bunce has dug deep into his Americana roots and personal experiences, to shape his songs and present a wide aural landscape with live shows and four CD releases in the previous five years. The most recent being a collection of lyrics bequeathed to Bob from his recently passed brother Randy, that Bob framed with musical arrangements that run the American music gauntlet, performed with “Rural Delivery” providing support for Bob’s vocal and guitar. The energy is high with seasoned performers Don Christiano, Rita Coulter, Gary Holt and Zak Mendoza locking down the mix of swamp to surf inspired tunes.
Bob’s music stands out to be honest to the core, running close to the Ray Wylie Hubbard, Steve Earl, Tony Joe White camp. Bob lives on a dirt road, heats with wood, feeds the chickens and makes electricity from the sun. He writes about cats eating snakes, girls dancing on tables, picking yourself up by your bootstraps, being a family disgrace, hard times, lovin’ your darling, feeling good about things that you used to feel bad about and being pissed off at the powers to be.
