“SINGING’ SONGS—A NIGHT OF GREAT SINGER-SONGWRITERS”

Featuring the talents of….

JACKSON CAVALIER - Jackson Cavalier has been active in the folk music scene of Western New York and beyond since the 2013. Starting off as a strict blues musician, Jackson transitioned into the realms of folk, country, bluegrass, and Americana shortly thereafter. He released his first album, “Barefooted & Still Breathing” with his band, The Fevertones in the Fall of 2012. The follow-up to that album came in the Spring of 2016, a concept album named “The Devil’s Undertow,” loosely based on the epic poem, “The Inferno” by Dante Alighieri. Most recently, Jackson released his first full length solo album, “Half Moon,” an intimate and sometimes raucous collection of indie folk and country western songs written by Jackson.

ROGER KUHN - “His pig-sticker boots firmly planted on the sidewalk, Kuhn bleeds hot and cool, switching off between dreadnought and dobro. The recording ain’t fancy but it’s period correct and contemporary. Kuhn’s attack is uplifting…his playing style is percussive and comfortably loose. There is a genuine air to Kuhn, he’s charmingly authentic and so is his music. He makes feeling bad sound so good.” ~Frank de Blase

MADELEINE McQUEEN - “With a powerful, soulful voice, Rochester’s Madeleine McQueen slices the space around her using her poetic lyrics to cauterize her disappointments and sorrows. Desert Flower comes from her new EP, “Wildfire,” with brutal honesty and a raw, quiet pandemonium, like a dream you dream over and over. Wild fears rest here, across the stream of water that McQueen wishes to cross. The glacial atmosphere rolls and swallows her whole and with her, the fabric  of the desert she cannot cross. The easiest thing for the body is not always so for the mind.
