JACKSON CAVALIER TRIO

After only a few years of being involved in the western New York folk scene, Jackson Cavalier & his band of musicians known as The Fevertones, have achieved the titles of Rochester's Best Busker(s) and house band at The Daily Refresher. Starting as a group of street musicians, Jackson Cavalier and James Schrag began busking together in the fall of 2012; Jackson playing guitar, harmonica, foot drums, and singing, while James accompanied him on violin.

Their work as street performers not only allowed the group to grow and evolve as musicians, but also to include various members of the Rochester music community into their lineup. Horns, strings, percussion, and harmony were all experimented with on the streets of Rochester.

As their notoriety grew, so did the demand of local music promoters to book them. Bringing their act to the many stages of the Greater Rochester Region and beyond, Jackson and company began a regular circuit of coffee shops, bars, and music venues. These gigs allowed the group to hone their sound, and test the original material they had begun composing. In the summer of 2013, the group entered Barncat Studios in Honeoye Falls, NY to record their first full length album "Barefooted & Still Breathing". The album was well received by local critics and fans alike.

Over the next few years, Jackson Cavalier competed in three Rochester City Newspaper's Best Busker Competition's; placing 2nd in 2014, 1st in 2015, and 1st in 2016 out of a group of 40 competitors. During this time Jackson and the Fevertones picked up their house band title at The Daily Refresher.
