THE BOYD & PARKER AMBUSH

The Boyd & Parker Ambush is a band that specializes in Americana/ Alt Country music consisting of Nick Young, Jeff Simpson, Jeff Sherner & Jesse Sprinkle. The band covers songs by such acts as the Old 97’s, the Jayhawks, Wilco, Merle Haggard, John Prine, Gram Parsons, George Jones and Eddie Cochran to name a few. Nick Young has performed with the band, Burning Daylight and has released two solo albums including “Truth Is” and his most recent effort, "South Lima". He tours nationally and has recorded locally and in Nashville, TN with such heavyweights as Al Perkins and Ken Coomer. Jesse Sprinkle is a multi-instrumentalist & founding member of the 1990’s Seattle-area rock band Poor Old Lu. He has toured nationally with bands such as Dead Poetic, & Demon Hunter and has also released several solo efforts including “Surrounded By Lights” and “Streamstory”. Jeff Sherner & Jeff Simpson were founding members of the Jaspers and currently play with the Rochester area band, the Genesee Revelers. They have performed at various festivals, such as Greentopia and in numerous bars in western New York.
