Miss Paula & The Twangbusters

Doors 7:00pm • Music 9:00pm

"MIss Paula & The Twangbusters deftly mix up a “juke joint cocktail for your soles” – a potent blend of 50’s/60’s honkytonk country, boogie woogie and jump blues – shaken and stirred! Described as “Patsy Cline meets Bessie Smith” and “the love child of Loretta Lynn & Jerry Lee Lewis”, the band is led by “Miss Paula” Bradley, on piano, rhythm guitar, and dynamic vocals. No stranger to Northeastern audiences, she is a founding member /lead singer of “Girl Howdy” and has toured with Americana darlings “Uncle Earl”, as well as with musical powerhouses Tony Trischka and Bruce Molsky. Joining her are roots rhythm aces Kevin Maul (“The Lustre Kings”) on slidin’ steel guitar; Peter Bearup (“The Coveralls) on sizzling electric guitar; Jaybird Gorleski (“Rocket Velvet”) on doghouse bass and Bob Resnick, drums, and together they mine the catalogs of such diverse greats as Carl Smith, Patsy Cline, Ruth Brown and Webb Pierce, to name a few!"
