WALT ATKINSON
Announcing the return of a local Rochester favorite, Walt Atkison.
Walt first appeared on the Rochester music scene in the early 1970’s. His signature sound of vocals, rack harmonica and guitar featuring original songs became a mainstay in the Rochester area for many years. The CD Cadillac Hotel was inspired by people, places and experiences of life in the city. He left Rochester in the late 90’s for Seattle and eventually settled in North Carolina.
Walt’s original music is a unique blend of blues, rock, pop and folk coupled with his signature sound. Cover songs easily take on this signature sound making them his own.

Walt has played in bars, coffee houses, concerts, and festivals from coast to coast. He has opened for groups including Leon Russell and the Chapin Brothers. He continues to write and play dedicating himself to a career that spans several decades.
