East Esker

East Esker is an experimental indie rock band with influences from the sub genres of alternative, grunge, country and post-punk- a reflection of the diverse musical backgrounds of its members.  The band has spent the last two years hashing out their vision, resulting in a collection of original songs released in October of 2024. The album, “Before The Earth Takes Us In,” focuses on the existential struggles of modern life and the overall experience of the human condition. More recent work from the band expands on these emotions and provides commentary on life in a world of uncertainty. All four members live in the Rochester, NY area and have been involved in the local scene in various capacities.

East Esker is: Chris Engard (lead guitar, vocals), Noah Hodgson (drums), Ryan Johnson (guitar, vocals), and Kyle Kucsmas (bass).
