Started by Chris English and Herb Heins in the early 2000’s, the RCPJ became the premier “Go To” musicians mixer.

Providing a complete back line, special guest artists, and the best players from multiple genres and music communities, the Pro Jam helped artists connect to start new bands and and projects while making lasting friendships. With this special edition show at Abilene, they’re celebrating the local music scene and all who have dedicated themselves to making Rochester a first class music town. the format is simple. all musicians wishing to jam will sign up. The house band and guests open, then they assemble a group of musicians, who may or may not know each other, to do an improv jam for 15-20 minutes, no covers please!
