The Living Room Session

TLRS started in the living rooms of friends, the idea of Dublin-born Phelim White. What started as piano, acoustic guitar, fiddle and upright bass quickly morphed into its present lineup. The addition of Chris Coon(keys/sax), Stevie Hartman(guitar), and MF Jones(bass), rounded out the lineup and steered it towards its current mission of weaving smoothly through 60’s Blue Note jazz, 70’s funk and R&B, 80’s new wave, pop and rock and a mix of tunes from the 90’s on. They delight in bringing mostly b-sides and more obscure tunes to the party. Artists covered include :Sade, The Mavericks, Pretenders, Elvis Costello, U2, Donny Hathaway, Grant Green, Tina Turner, Depeche Mode, The Band, Leon Bridges, Morphine, Van Morrison, Bowie, The Meters, Nina Simone, ZZ Top…and much more!
