Professor Don Anonymous

From New Orleans-inflected piano R&B to indie eccentricism, singer-songwriter/keyboardist Don Anonymous added the "Professor" after studying under the tutelage of Charles Jaffe, keyboardist from the Colorblind James Experience. Performing with a full band, he'll be showcasing his latest original album, My Humble Vanity Project. The songs in this latest project explore memory, regret, information overload and theological reflection, all imbued with Don's literate turns of phrase and singular way of observing the world.
Throughout his musical journey, Don has walked with one foot in indie rock and another in the realms of soul/R&B. For the first time, those two worlds merge on the same album. Throughout, Don brings a vibrant cast of characters to life while paying homage to figures like Thelonious Monk, Leadbelly, Elvis, and Charlie Parker. Along with songs from the CD Don and the band will play a set of New Orleans piano jems from Dr. John, Fats Domino and Professor Longhair.
