The Front Porch Project is the Folk Americana duo of Son Henry and Elaine Verstraete. Their sound lives where blues, folk, and country rub up against each other. Just guitar, upright bass, and two voices telling the truth as plainly as they know how. The songs come from real places: long roads, hard lessons, stubborn hope, and the quiet moments that make a life. It is roots music with a little grit under the fingernails. Whether you're in a listening room or a corner bar, they pull you in close and make you feel like you are sitting on the porch with them.

Join them at Abilene Bar & Lounge on Thursday, April 9 as they finally turn these songs loose. The new album has been a long time coming, written in the quiet hours and hammered into shape the old-fashioned way. They’ll play the record live, share a few stories about where the songs came from, and give you a sneak peek at a handful of brand new ones from the next album - out for their very first spin.
