Kelley's Heroes: “Blonde on Blonde”— 60th Anniversary Tribute

On May 23rd, Kelley's Heroes celebrates Bob Dylan's birthday with a full performance of Blonde on Blonde in honor of its 60th anniversary.

Released in 1966, Blonde on Blonde is one of the greatest albums ever made — a double record of wild imagery, raw emotion, and songwriting genius that changed rock and roll forever. Six decades later it's still an essential listen.

The night kicks off with a full set of original Kelley's Heroes music, then the band — joined by special guests — tears through Blonde on Blonde from start to finish in true Kelley's Heroes fashion. It's a one-time only celebration for Dylan fans and rock and roll lovers alike.

Kelley's Heroes is a Rochester rock band with a thing for great songs and a reputation for putting on a hell of a show. Fronted by John Kelley and rounded out by Jon Gary on bass and vocals, Jim Conner on drums, and Dan Hoh on guitar, the band plays original music with the kind of energy and craft that keeps people coming back. Now in its third year, their annual Dylan Birthday Bash has become one of Rochester's favorite spring traditions — and the 60th anniversary of Blonde on Blonde makes this one the biggest yet.
