The Deep Blue String Band is a five-piece string band from Rochester, New York, brought together through friendship and a shared musical home at the Submarine School of Music. Rooted in the traditions of bluegrass, old-time fiddle tunes, Americana, and folk, the band blends timeless classics with contemporary influences to create a sound that's both familiar and fresh.

Drawing inspiration from bluegrass legends like Flatt & Scruggs, the Osborne Brothers, and Bill Monroe, while embracing the modern songwriting and genre-bending styles of Watchhouse, the Grateful Dead, and Wilco, Deep Blue String Band delivers spirited performances filled with rich harmonies, driving rhythms, and plenty of improvisation.

The band features Teresa Gianni on fiddle, Jeff Hartman on banjo, Kyle Sinden on bass and guitar, Jim Erwin on guitar, and Audra Naujokas on mandolin.
